Bewilderment is a state of being confused and puzzled, the state people are in when I tell them I’m a walking coach šŸ˜¬

No, I don’t assist people to learn how to walk, neither do I have the skills to teach some stylish catwalk moves. What is a Walking Coach then?

First of all, Iā€™m a certified Lifestyle Coach and I help fine folks just like you, to form the bridge from where they are now to where they want to be. Being a walking coach, I use the power of walking and reconnecting to nature as a tool to assist people to reconnect with themselves. Together we take the first steps towards finding that balance in their lives.

Joining the benefits of both walking and life coaching in the form of walking coaching has a powerful effect on our physical, mental and emotional health.

Does that mean that we are going to hug trees? No not really but if you would feel the urge to do so, I wonā€™t hold you back! The idea of coaching people in a natural environment is that everything feels so much moreā€¦ natural.

When I go on a coaching walk, I can really see people change. Eyes and shoulders relax, they slow down and start noticing the small things in nature and realizing that there still is a lot of beauty in the world.

And then it happens, their thoughts become clearer and they let their feelings, which they are holding back, flow until they get the aha moment. ā€œThis is what I want, and this is what Iā€™m going to do!ā€.

I literally have seen people grown when that weight is off their shoulders.

As soon as you start moving, your thoughts start moving as well. Many people have used walking as a way to gather their thoughts, and then move on them, including Charles Darwin who walked the ā€œthinking pathā€.

One of my clients described it as a ā€œtrue soul-nurturingā€ experience.

Since Iā€™ve got lots of clients from all over the world, it is not possible to join everybody on a walking coaching session. I only wish it would be possible!

Thatā€™s only one of the reasons I organize walking retreats and encourage individuals to take the time for themselves and go outside. Stepping away from the daily rat race has got tremendous advantages. By exploring new backyards, you are more likely to have new thoughts, new ideas and see things differently. It really can open up new horizons for you.

If you are ready to take you first steps, there are lots of options to choose from. I would encourage you to start with our #60daystodiscover challenge. 60 days where you go and discover your backyard. Along the way youā€™ll also discover a thing or two about yourself. See it as your own self-coaching path where, I stimulate you to look at things from a different angle. The Challenge is FREE and itā€™s organized four times a year.

Another option is to sign up for our 8-week online coaching program, Rewild Your Senses. Weā€™ll see each other live every week and Iā€™ll help you clear the fog in your head. After 8 weeks youā€™ll walk away with a plan where you can create those empty spaces in your agenda to live the life you truly want!

If you want to get a feel on what we talk about, you can download the free 6-Step Roadmap and take those first steps towards that balanced life!

Or, why not join me on one of our Walking Retreats organized around the world. Iā€™ll promise you it will be life-changing.

Last but not least, there is also our Walking Community where experiences and thoughts between fellow Backyard Hikers are shared. Everybody is free to join ā€“ discover our and your tribe today.

Make sure to subscribe to our newsletter, Backyard Gossip, so youā€™ll be the first to hear about the new course dates, destinations and things that go on in the Backyard šŸ˜
